Shipping & Delivery Policy – Revoque Academic

Please read this policy carefully before placing an order. By completing a purchase with Revoque Academic, you acknowledge and agree to the shipping terms below. These terms form part of our Terms of Service.


1. Delivery Costs

  • Courier Door-to-Door: Orders R0.01 – R5000.00 → R100 shipping
  • Orders over R5000.00: Free delivery

2. Special-Order Procurement Model

Revoque Academic primarily operates as a special-order sourcing service. Most products are obtained from suppliers after an order is placed rather than held in stock.

  • Items are ordered specifically on the customer’s behalf.
  • Dispatch occurs once goods arrive from suppliers.
  • Lead times may be longer than traditional stock-holding retailers.
  • Orders generally cannot be cancelled once supplier procurement has started.

3. Processing & Dispatch Timeframes

  • Dispatch estimates reflect typical supplier turnaround times.
  • Timeframes are estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates.
  • For multiple items, the longest lead time may determine dispatch.
  • Orders ship once all items are secured and packed.

Delays may occur due to supplier shortages, imports, logistics disruptions, public holidays, courier capacity, or other factors beyond our control.


4. Delivery Methods

  • Courier door-to-door delivery
  • Collection points or lockers where available
  • Shipping fees are calculated automatically at checkout unless stated otherwise

All deliveries are handled by independent third-party couriers.


5. Delivery Address Requirements

By placing an order, you confirm that:

  • The delivery address is accurate and a valid physical street address.
  • A reachable contact number is supplied.
  • Someone will be available during business hours (Mon–Fri) to receive delivery.

Couriers generally do not deliver to P.O. Boxes or Private Bags.


6. Contact Number Responsibility

Couriers may contact customers via phone, SMS, WhatsApp, automated systems, or private numbers. If delivery fails due to unreachable contact details or incorrect information:

  • Delays, re-delivery fees, storage charges, or returns may occur.
  • These costs remain the customer’s responsibility.

7. Address Classifications & Courier Surcharges

Couriers independently classify certain locations as outlying, high-risk, or special-access areas. These decisions are outside our control.

Locations commonly attracting surcharges include:

  • Plots, farms, rural or smallholding properties
  • Security estates or restricted-access premises
  • Industrial parks, office parks, malls or campuses
  • Hospitals, schools, universities or government buildings
  • Any address classified by the courier as outlying

Important: Previous successful deliveries do not prevent new surcharges.

  • Surcharges may need to be paid before dispatch.
  • Orders may be held until these fees are settled.

Revoque Academic does not subsidise courier surcharges resulting from address classification, delivery restrictions, or inaccurate address details.


8. Failed Deliveries & Re-Delivery

If delivery fails due to customer-related reasons (incorrect address, absence, access issues, refusal, or failure to collect):

  • The parcel may be returned or incur additional courier charges.
  • Return, storage, rerouting or re-delivery costs are for the customer.
  • Original delivery fees remain non-refundable.

9. Address Changes After Dispatch

  • Address changes are usually not possible once dispatched.
  • If permitted by the courier, delays and additional fees may apply.
  • We cannot accept responsibility for courier-imposed costs or delays.

10. Tracking & Delivery Monitoring

  • Tracking details are issued once parcels enter the courier network.
  • Customers are responsible for monitoring delivery progress.

11. Risk Transfer & Delivery Confirmation

Once delivery is confirmed by the courier — including delivery to security desks, reception, third parties, or lockers — the order is considered fulfilled. Revoque Academic cannot accept responsibility for loss, theft, or damage after confirmed delivery.


12. Damaged Shipments or Missing Items

  • Inspect parcels promptly upon delivery or collection.
  • Report damage or shortages within 48 hours.
  • Photographic evidence may be required for courier claims.

13. Estimated Delivery Times (After Dispatch)

  • Main centres: typically 1–3 business days
  • Regional/outlying areas: typically 2–5 business days

Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to weather, logistics disruptions, strikes, load shedding, customs delays, or other external factors.


14. Acceptance of Terms

By placing an order, you confirm that you:

  • Understand our supplier-sourced procurement model
  • Accept estimated dispatch and delivery timeframes
  • Acknowledge courier limitations and possible surcharges
  • Agree to these shipping terms as part of your purchase contract
