Terms of Service – Revoque Academic
Welcome to Revoque Academic. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and any purchase made from us. By placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms in full.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not place an order.
1. Business Model – Special Order Procurement
Revoque Academic primarily operates as a sourcing and procurement service. Most products are obtained from suppliers after customer orders are confirmed and paid.
- Orders are treated as special procurement orders placed on the customer’s behalf.
- Once supplier procurement has begun, orders generally cannot be cancelled, amended, or refunded except where required under the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA).
- By placing an order, you acknowledge this sourcing model and associated lead times.
2. Order Confirmation & Payment
- Orders are only confirmed once payment has cleared.
- Procurement and order processing begin after payment confirmation.
- Orders awaiting payment may be cancelled after a reasonable period.
- Please use your order number as payment reference where applicable.
3. Order Accuracy & Customer Responsibility
- Customers are responsible for confirming suitability, compatibility, specifications, and quantities before checkout.
- Incorrect selections or change-of-mind situations generally do not qualify for cancellation once procurement has started.

4. Pricing, Availability & Supplier Dependence
- Prices may change due to supplier adjustments, exchange rate fluctuations, or cost increases.
- Availability depends on suppliers and cannot always be guaranteed.
- If a supplier cannot fulfil an order, we will offer a refund or reasonable alternative where possible.
5. Dispatch, Delivery & Split Shipments
Delivery timeframes are estimates only and not guarantees.
- Delays may occur due to supplier shortages, logistics issues, public holidays, or events beyond our control.
- If an order contains multiple items with different availability, we may split delivery. Additional courier charges may apply where applicable.
- Customers must provide accurate delivery details. Redelivery fees may apply for incorrect addresses, failed delivery attempts, or uncollected parcels.
While we assist where possible, we cannot accept liability for courier delays or circumstances outside our direct control.
6. Returns, Faulty Goods & CPA Rights
- Defective, incorrect, or damaged goods must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.
- Photographic evidence may be requested.
- Approved claims may result in repair, replacement, or refund in accordance with the CPA.
- Change-of-mind returns are generally not accepted once procurement has begun due to the special-order nature of our business.
7. CPA Cooling-Off Clarification
Cooling-off rights may not apply where goods are specially sourced, customised, or procured specifically on behalf of a customer.
If cancellation occurs before procurement begins, administrative or supplier cancellation fees may apply.
8. Refund Processing
- Refunds are processed using the original payment method where reasonably possible.
- Processing times may vary depending on payment providers or banking institutions.
9. Limitation of Liability
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from product use, delays, supplier issues, or courier-related events.
- Compatibility issues remain the customer’s responsibility where specifications were available before purchase.
- Where liability applies in law, it is limited to the purchase value of the goods concerned.
10. Product Use & Safety
- Products must be used according to manufacturer instructions.
- Improper installation, misuse, modification, or negligence may void returns or warranty consideration.
- Technical installations should be done by appropriately qualified persons where applicable.
11. Intellectual Property
All website content, branding, images, product descriptions, and materials remain the property of Revoque Academic or respective suppliers and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without permission.
12. Payment Security, Fraud & Chargebacks
- Placing an order authorises payment processing under these terms.
- Fraudulent transactions will be reported to the relevant authorities.
- Customers should contact us first before initiating chargebacks so issues can be resolved quickly.
13. Communication & Data Use
By placing an order or creating an account, you consent to receiving transactional communications related to your orders. We may occasionally send product or service updates. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time.
14. Amendments to Terms
Revoque Academic reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. The version published on the website at the time of purchase will apply to that transaction.
15. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including the Consumer Protection Act where applicable.
